Mixing up characters and dystopian novels

So, this last one and a half week I`ve not really had that much homework, and that gives me more time to read!!! 😀 YEEEEY
And I`ve read a lot, even for me. I`ve read four dystopian novels. And when I read them this close in time after each other, I sometimes mixed up the characters. That`s really annoying!!! Like, for half a book I thought the main character’s father was in a wheelchair until he suddenly was walking around in the gardens, and i was like “WHAT, CAN HE WALK AGAIN” before I realized that it was a different book…. :/

So, first I read “Red Queen” by Victoria Aveyard, which was an okay book. It wasn`t a book that made me go WOW, but the ending of the book was so good that I feel like I have to read the sequel. (Which, btw, is not coming out until february 2016!!! NOOOOOOO!)

And then I read “Pandemonium” by Lauren Oliver (#2 in the Delirium series). And that was a book that really made me go WOW. It`s such a long time since I read the first book, but I remembered soon enough and I really liked reading it. BUT LAUREN OLIVER YOU CAN`T END A BOOK LIKE THAT, LIKE SERIOUSLY WHAT ARE YOU DOING? And I should have known, I really should have known, because she did just the same in delirium. And NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Well, when I got over my feels, I read #2 (The Elite) and #3 (The One) in the Selection series. And even though there are a lot of things that the author could have made better, I really liked just getting to know the story. While reading the last part of “the One” I literally was on a rollecoaster of emotion; I laughed, I cried and I had my mouth wide opened for at least two pages. WHUUUUUUUUTTTT? How can the characters be so stupid? And then everything is okay, and I`m relieved, and then suddenly I`m crying and then I just skafvhiogafnavoosang!

So, I`m fine, even though my reading heart has been through a lot lately :*
